Patricia “Patti” Piilani Bufil-Dehmer, 59, of Hilo died March 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a loan officer for the former Beneficial Hawaii, an administrative assistant for Ivan Mochida Contracting and a salesclerk at the former Robert’s Bakery. Graveside committal service 10 a.m. Saturday (May 28) at Mauna Kea Memorial Park in Papaikou, followed by a celebration of life at 4 p.m. at Hilo Meishoin Social Hall, 97 Olona St. Aloha attire; flowers welcome. Survived by husband, Eric H. Dehmer of Hilo; sons, Erickson H. Dehmer of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Roycen K. (Stephanie) Dehmer of Kailua, Oahu; daughter, Brittni Rose K. Sune Herbert Hoglund Jr., 84, Keaau, formerly of Waimea, died May 3 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Clatskanie, Ore., he was a master carpenter and cabinetmaker and owner of of S&M Cabinet Shop. Mark Steven Oskins, 70, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 27 in McDonald, Tenn. Born in Decatur, Ill., he was an electrician, owner of Home Convenience Center and member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Diane Margaret Rivas 78, of Waikoloa died May 13. Born in Spokane, Wash., and raised in Sioux Falls, S.D., she was an interior designer, former sales director for This Week Big Island, Washington State University graduate, founding member of Waikoloa Community Church, helped organize the Great Waikoloa Horse Race, and organized the hospice benefit Carlos Rivas Memorial Polo Tournament.
